Longer books for 5 year old girl

My daughter is starting to enjoy longer books for bedtime stories, having a chapter or two read to her each night.
Any suggestions for books? I was a quite precocious reader from that age, so what I think is suitable may be a bit too much for her to understand!
Appreciate any suggestions, thanks!

Princess Poppy novels
My Naughty Little Sister series
The Wishing Chair (think that’s what they’re called, they’re by Enid Blyton)
Glitterwings Academy series
Those were some of DD’s favourite series at that age, along with the ones already mentioned.

Thanks everyone! It has reminded me I loved Enid Blyton’s ‘The Children of Cherry Tree Farm’ when I was little. Will have to see if they’re up in the loft!

My favourite at that age was Gobbolino, the Witches Cat.

I still have my copy. It is very tattered!

I never had the book, but did have a cassette tape with it on, along with other stories, including one about a tree that grew shoes! I think it was from one of those partworks with a cheap first issue!

How about The Winnie the Pooh books?

The proper ones, not the Disney dumbing down ones!

The poetry ones are fabulous too.
