I've started re-reading Sharon Penman's books, following her untimely death a few weeks ago. I am reading When Christ and His Saints Slept. Her books are old and dear friends and I am once more enjoying immersing myself in Medieval England.
Those sound good. I just read all of G.K. Chesterton again and from that got into the Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. I find that I like a bit of mid Century Christian intellectual literature of late given the scenarios we are in.
I also like ALL historical novels particularly C.J. Sansom and Shardlake.
I'm not above a bit of Cadfael on Britbox either.
