You can't just go claiming Wales on a message board with 200 posters 😬

This is exactly how wars are started πŸ˜†

Genuine question as an American; isn't Yorkshire in the north east or west? And it's just a bit like Southampton that's some say is the south east and others the south west πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

No. The North East is from just south of Middlesbrough upwards (until you hit Scotland)
The North West is just East of Manchester westwards (Lancashire and beyond)

Lancashire and Yorkshire fought a war. Yorkshire is most definitely not North West.

The board is missing a sun forum for the part of the country from Sheffield (approximate start of Yorkshire) to Potto (end of Yorkshire start of North east)

We have all the tea.
We have the moors and dales.
We have the puddings.

The war of the roses :ROFLMAO: - I remember I took part in a 10K which involved Lancashire and Yorkshire running clubs which used that tag line if memory serves right.
